Day Four: Dominica |
Happy Halloween! The main promenade and all of the dining rooms were all decorated for the occasion. Of note were the dozens of carved pumpkins on display in the main atrium. The day's activities included a (very brief) walk around the shops at the port. Not much to see; we were back on board within thirty minutes and in the pool. The evening brought the main Halloween festivities. Many passengers (especially the bears) were all costumed. After getting into our costumes (I was the Travelocity Gnome and David was Tinkerbell) we went down to the promenade to meet up with some friends. The other passengers were enamored with our costumes and we had to pose several times for pictures. We were just about blind from all the flash bulbs by the time we went to our own Halloween party. And quite a party it was, held in the Skywalkers Nightclub at the back of deck 18. As can be seen from the pictures, there were a wide variety of costumes. I won honorable mention in the contest. The first two pictures (larger thumbnails) were taken by the ship's photographers. Click on a thumbnail for a larger picture.
